San Sicario, in Italy (in the Piemonte region), is a large resort with 11 lifts (3 chair lifts, 8 surface lifts) that offers skiers an incredible 1473 metres (4833 feet) of vertical descent. San Sicario has 39 pistes with a total length of 88 kilometers (55 miles). San Sicario is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates. There are 7 kilometers (4.4 miles) of cross country ski trails at San Sicario. All of the pistes at San Sicario are covered by snowmaking. The closest airport is at Turin but the transfer time is 1.5 hours. The nearest train station to San Sicario is at Oulx. There is accommodation located close to the pistes but we would welcome additional information about any hotels or chalets in San Sicario.

Sansicaio is the best positiond resort in the milkyway. It has some of the longest runs, the Olympic run is excellent as are most of the others. There are lots more mountain restaurants than I had realised; all good and well priced.
I found the local staff warm and helpful.
The hotel Majestic is good as is the food with lots of it. There is no village as such and it's a shame there isn't a local bar; the bar in the hotel is ok but pricey. There is a short walk from the coach to the lift, some people might moan about it but we thought nothing of it. The resort in one word great.
